The Routeburn track is one of the 9 Great walks in New Zealand and the 4 huts are controlled by the Department of Conservation (DOC). We've selected to stay in the two more interesting huts at Routeburn Falls and Lake McKenzie. The track starts at the Routeburn Shelter (near Glenorchy and 68 km from Queenstown) and ends at The Divide (on the Milford Road, 85 km from Te Anau).
The highest point is Harris Saddle at 1255m
