Map preparation for a a hike on one of DOC’s 10 great walks in New Zealand aren/t necessary. It’s not as though there are umpteen possibilities of which way to go on a track so the brochure’s handed out by DOC is more than sufficient.
Re booking the accommodation, the DOC website enables easy booking for teh DOC huts and booking.com fills in the rest.
And for the bike leg, Milton kindly made all the logistical arrangements of accommodation, bike hire and trabsport and getting to and from the trail head. THANKS MILTON!!
