Today we leave Geneva by train to go to Bern to visit Luca, Seraina and baby Sophie Malou. It never ceases to amaze us that dogs are allowed on trains and buses and in supermarkets. I'm in a queue to buy train tickets with people and their dogs at Geneva SBB. It's a sunny day after the rain yesterday afternoon and it's only a 1hr 40min train trip up to Bern, travelling around Lake Geneva via Lausanne.
After checking in to Am Pavillon at 1A Pavillonweg, just behind the Bern SBB train station, we have a picnic lunch in the garden then arrange to meet Luca at 5pm.
Luca and family arrive, And sftare much canoodling of baby Sophie Malou who is 5 months old exactly today Sept 20th (she was born April 20th, Easter Sunday). We chat for a few hours then go out to dinner to a restaurant down town, baby in pram. Bern is abuzz with night life and the restaurants are packed. It's a lovely memorable night with Luca, our exchange student from 2000.
