We had a great 4 hours sleep in Manchester and after breakfast, walked to Terminal 3 and caught the 8.40am Manchester to Newquay flight with Loganair, a budget Scottich airline. Arriving in Newquay at 10amwe were met by my brother John, who has lived on and off in Newquay for almost 50 years.
John has owned his house in Pentire, Newquay since the mid 1980’s and kept it following his return to Australia in 2001 where his children were educated. He and his wife Suzie now have retired to their Newquay house which he renovated and re established their lush English garden which is home to a myriad of birds and squirrels.
After a magnificent Devonshire tea in their garden, we went for a stroll around the headland and returned to John and Sizie’s favourite dish - North Atlantic cod.
An early night after a long two days travelling from Brisbane to Melbourne, then back to Sydney, on to Doha, then Manchester and finally, 60 hours later, to Newquay.
