Tuesday May 29th - Depart Brisbane for Paris

Can I come too?

Robbie us a lift to the airport.  Check in is easy.  Our bags each weigh 12kg - we had added some extra throwaway clothes and food for Paris and the French Open and French customs doesn't exist.  We also are flying Business Class - once you're 60 you I decided you don't need to sit scrupled up in economy.  Qantas Brisbane to Singapore then Air France Singapore to Paris.  The timing suits us fine - an afternoon flight into Singapore, a few hours stopover the Air France overnight to Paris arriving at 6am.  As a result we had almost no jet lag.  The Qantas plane and food were definitely better than Air France but neither has horizontal beds in Business Class.  A lie flat bed is not a horizontal bed - it inclines at about 15deg so you always feel like you are slipping off.  But still a whole lot better than Economy so no complaints.  We've also gotten into the practice of taking throwaway pillows just to make the lie-flat (but not horizontal) bed extra comfy.
